PALMDALE, California – Effective, Saturday, November 9, Mark Cripe is ending his campaign for California’s 25th Congressional District seat.

In addition to deep concerns over splitting the Republican vote in a crowded field, Mark stated that, “our financial situation dictates a hard choice.” The campaign generated local grassroots support, but it wasn’t able to fundraise at the levels needed to remain in the race, let alone be competitive.

“I’ve truly enjoyed meeting so many good people on the campaign trail. I’ve learned and grown a lot and I’ll use this experience to continue helping people that need it, just like I’ve been doing my whole life,” Mark said. “Thank you to all those who’ve supported me throughout this race. I plan on cultivating these relationships and partnering with other community organizations to help grow their representation in governance."

The last event for the campaign will be the November 11 Veterans Day BBQ Fundraiser, which will no longer be a campaign event. Instead, all funds raised after cost will be donated to a local Veterans organization.

So if you’re in Santa Clarita on Monday and you enjoy good BBQ, stop by the Oak Tree Gun Club from 1-4 P.M. to have a good time at the range and support our Vets.
